Bihar Police Photo Size

The correct photograph setting depends on the board and recruitment. For CSBC applications, use the file-size requirement specified for your particular constable advertisement. For the BPSSC reference format above, the photograph is 200 × 230 pixels and 30–50 KB.

Regardless of the recruitment, your final photograph should be:

• Clear and properly exposed.
• Recent.
• Properly cropped.
• Free from excessive blur.
• Saved in the accepted format.
• Within the specified file-size range.

Don't resize an old or poor-quality photograph just to make its KB value fit. Start with a clear original whenever possible.

Bihar Police Signature Requirements

Your signature needs extra attention because CSBC and BPSSC applications can use different upload rules.

CSBC

Where the application provides separate fields, prepare an English signature and a Hindi signature. Keep each file separate and within the required size range.

BPSSC

The reference specification is 140 × 60 pixels, 20–50 KB, JPG. Write your normal signature clearly and leave enough space around it so the handwriting doesn't become too small after cropping.

Don't Confuse Image Dimensions With File Size

These are two different requirements. Dimensions describe the physical image size — width × height, for example 200 × 230 px. File size describes how much storage the image uses, for example 30 KB. So an image can have the correct dimensions but still be rejected because its KB size is wrong.

How to Prepare Your Bihar Police Photo or Signature

Once you know your board and advertisement, preparing the final files takes just a few steps.

Common Bihar Police Upload Problems

Photo Is Outside the KB Range

A photograph can look perfectly fine while still being too large or too small for the application. Adjust compression instead of unnecessarily changing the original image.

Signature Looks Too Small

Large blank margins can make a signature appear tiny. Crop the empty area while keeping the complete handwriting visible.

English and Hindi Signature Files Are Mixed Up

If your CSBC application has separate fields, use clear filenames such as signature-english.jpg and signature-hindi.jpg. This makes it easier to select the correct file during upload.

Wrong File Format

Simply renaming a .png file to .jpg does not convert it. Export the image in the actual format required by the application.

Portal Rejects an Image That Looks Correct

Check the complete requirement instead of looking only at the KB value. Dimensions, format, image quality and the recruitment-specific instructions can all matter.

Keep Your Original Images

After creating your final Bihar Police files, keep the original versions separately — for example in a folder containing your original photo, final photo, English signature, Hindi signature, other documents, submitted application and payment receipt.

Keeping originals means you can create another version later if a different recruitment requires different dimensions or file sizes.
