This page helps you prepare your photograph and signature for the CRPF Constable (Technical & Tradesmen and Pioneer) 2026 application. The photograph and signature have different preparation requirements. Make sure you select the correct document before resizing.

Prepare Your CRPF Tradesman Photograph

Start with a clear, recent colour photograph. For a better result:

• Use a clear photograph with proper lighting.
• Keep the face clearly visible.
• Use a light background.
• Avoid heavily edited or filtered photographs.
• Crop the image carefully before adjusting the final size.
• Make sure the final photograph is approximately 35mm x 45mm.
• Check that the file size falls between 50KB and 100KB.

Avoid repeatedly compressing the same photograph. Starting with a clear original image generally produces a better result, and you can bring a slightly oversized photo down with a general-purpose tool such as Compress Image to 50KB if you also need a smaller version for another form.

Prepare Your CRPF Tradesman Signature

Your signature should be prepared separately from the photograph. Before uploading it to the tool:

• Sign on plain white paper.
• Use a black ink pen.
• Make sure the signature belongs to the applicant.
• Scan or photograph only the signature area.
• Keep the complete signature visible.
• Remove unnecessary blank space around the handwriting.
• Make sure the final file stays between 50KB and 100KB.

Do not crop so tightly that part of the signature is removed. If the exported file is outside the range, adjust the settings again with the help of Resize Signature in KB Online rather than saving the smallest possible file.

Common CRPF Tradesman Upload Problems

  Photo File Is Above 100KB

  Reduce the file size while keeping the photograph clear. Avoid excessive compression that makes the face blurry.

  Photo File Is Below 50KB

  A very small file may have lost too much image quality. Adjust the image again so it falls within the required range.

  Signature File Is Outside the Required Range

  Make sure the final signature file stays between 50KB and 100KB. If a scan comes out very small, adjust the settings so the file moves back up toward 100KB.

  Signature Is Blurry

  Start with a clear original image. Compression cannot restore handwriting details that are already missing.

  Too Much Blank Space Around the Signature

  Crop unnecessary margins before resizing. Too much empty space can make the actual signature appear unnecessarily small.

  Wrong File Format

  CRPF Tradesman requires JPG/JPEG for both the photograph and signature. This tool can also export PNG for other uses, but use JPG/JPEG for this application.

Photograph

• Clear and properly cropped.

Why File Size and Image Dimensions Matter

File size and image dimensions are separate requirements. Simply compressing an image to 50KB does not automatically make it the correct physical size, and changing the dimensions alone does not guarantee the file falls within the required KB range. Preparing both correctly before uploading can help avoid repeated upload errors during the application process.

After exporting, you can confirm the final KB value and dimensions of a signature with the Signature Size Checker, and if you need the file closer to the top of the range you can nudge it up with Resize Signature to 100KB.
