IBPS PO Photo, Signature & Thumb Impression Resizer 2026

Always check the latest IBPS notification before submitting your application because requirements can change between recruitment cycles.

The 4 Documents You Need

1. Photograph — 200 × 230 px, 20–50 KB

Use a recent colour photograph with your face clearly visible. Look straight at the camera with a relaxed expression. Caps, hats and dark glasses are not accepted, while religious headwear is allowed as long as it does not cover the face.

The scanned photograph is separate from the live photograph captured during the application process.

2. Signature — 140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB

Sign on white paper using a black ink pen and keep the signature clear after scanning.

Crop unnecessary white space before resizing so that the handwriting remains visible within the final image.

3. Left Thumb Impression — 240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB

Make a clear left thumb impression on white paper and allow the ink to dry before scanning. The final image should not be smudged.

4. Handwritten Declaration — 800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB

Write the declaration yourself in English using black ink on white paper. The declaration must be in your normal handwriting and must not be written in CAPITAL LETTERS.

Use the exact declaration text provided in the current IBPS notification rather than rewriting or shortening it.

Prepare Your Files Before Opening the Application

It is easier to complete the IBPS PO form when your upload files are already prepared.

A simple order is:

• Resize the scanned photograph.
• Prepare and resize your signature.
• Scan and resize the left thumb impression.
• Write and prepare the handwritten declaration.
• Check the final dimensions and KB size of every file.
• Keep the files together before starting registration.
• Complete the live-photograph capture when the application asks for it.

This avoids stopping halfway through the application because one of the required uploads is not ready.

Keep Original and Final Files Separate

Create a folder named IBPS PO Application before you begin.

A simple structure can be:

• Original Photo
• Final Photo
• Original Signature
• Final Signature
• Thumb Impression
• Handwritten Declaration
• Application Form
• Payment Receipt

Keep the original scans untouched. If you later need another size or format, you can prepare a new upload copy without losing the original.

Live Photograph Is Separate From the Scanned Photo

The scanned photograph you prepare for upload is not the same as the live photograph captured during registration.

When the live-photo step appears:

• Follow the instructions shown on the application screen.
• Use suitable lighting.
• Keep your face clearly visible.
• Look directly at the camera.
• Make sure the camera captures your face properly.

Prepare the scanned photograph beforehand, but complete the live-photo capture through the application itself.

Common IBPS PO Upload Problems

  The Photograph Is Outside the 20–50 KB Range

  Adjust the JPEG compression while keeping the image clear. The photograph has its own file-size range, so do not use the same compression setting as the signature.

  The Signature Is Above 20 KB

  Crop unnecessary blank space first, then reduce the JPEG file size while keeping the handwriting readable.

• !

  The Signature Is Written in Capital Letters

  IBPS does not accept signatures written in CAPITAL LETTERS. Use your normal running signature instead.

  The Thumb Impression Is Smudged

  Start again with a clean impression on white paper. A blurred or smudged scan can make the final upload difficult to read.

  The Declaration Is the Wrong Size

  Changing the file size alone does not correct the dimensions. Prepare the declaration at 800 × 400 pixels and then adjust the JPEG file size to the required range.

  The Declaration Text Is Incorrect

  Use the exact wording from the current IBPS notification. Do not replace it with a shortened or self-written version.

  The Image Looks Blurry After Resizing

  Go back to the original scan rather than repeatedly compressing the already-resized file. A clear source produces a better final upload.

Before You Click Submit

Before final submission, check each upload individually:

• Photograph is clear and correctly displayed.
• Signature is readable and not in capital letters.
• Thumb impression is clear and not smudged.
• Handwritten declaration matches the current notification.
• Every file is in JPG/JPEG format.
• Dimensions match the required specifications.
• File sizes fall within the correct ranges.
• Application previews display the documents correctly.

Do not assume that one file-size setting works for every document. Each upload has its own dimensions and KB range.

Keep Your Application Records

After completing the application, save the confirmation page and payment receipt.

Keeping the final uploaded files together with the submitted application details makes it easier to retrieve your records later during the recruitment process.
