About the Live Photo Capture Step
Recent RBI Grade B application instructions include a live photo capture step in addition to the photograph you upload. After uploading your prepared photo, the portal asks you to either use your webcam directly or scan a QR code with your phone to take a real-time picture. Keep a plain, well-lit background ready for this step, since it happens during the application itself, not before it.
This is separate from the resizing steps below and can't be skipped by uploading a second photo file.
Preparing Your Files
- Take the passport photo against a plain, light background — RBI's guidance is strict about caps, dark glasses, and busy backgrounds.
- Sign on white paper in black ink, avoiding all-capital-letter signatures — RBI explicitly rejects these.

- Write the handwritten declaration exactly as worded in your notification — don't paraphrase it, and keep it in English unless the notification says otherwise.
- Scan or photograph each document separately rather than trying to crop multiple items from one combined scan.
