SSC can change application requirements between recruitment cycles, so always verify the latest CGL notification before submitting your form.

Prepare Your CGL Signature

Upload your signature to the tool, adjust the width, height and file size, crop unnecessary blank space, preview the result, and export a JPG/JPEG file ready for your application.

SSC CGL Live Photo: What You Need to Know

For current SSC application processes that use live photo capture, you do not need to prepare an old passport-size photograph and upload it as the live photograph.

When prompted by the application, follow the on-screen camera instructions.

For a better live photo:

• Use good lighting.
• Choose a plain background.
• Keep the camera at eye level.
• Face the camera directly.
• Keep your complete face inside the indicated area.
• Avoid a cap, mask, or spectacles during capture.
• Make sure the captured image is clear and not blurred.

The application may allow you to recapture the photo if the first result does not meet the displayed instructions. Follow the current CGL application according to the most recent SSC CGL application instructions.

How to Prepare Your CGL Signature

   Write Your Signature Clearly

   Use plain white paper and a dark blue or black pen. Keep the handwriting clear and complete.

   Capture or Scan the Signature

   Create a clear digital image without unnecessary shadows or blur.

   Crop the Image

   Remove excessive white space around the signature while keeping the complete signature visible.

   Set the Required Dimensions

   Enter the width and height specified in the current CGL instructions using the custom dimension controls.

   Adjust the File Size

   Set the required KB range or target file size shown in the current application instructions.

   Check the final signature for clarity, dimensions, format, and file size before using it in your application.

Common SSC CGL Image Problems

  Signature File Is Too Large

  If your signature exceeds the permitted file-size limit, reduce the file size using the tool while keeping the handwriting readable.

  Signature File Is Too Small

  Do not assume that a smaller file is always better. If the current CGL instructions specify a minimum and maximum file size, make sure your final file stays within that range.

  Signature Looks Blurry

  Start with a clear scan or photograph. Compression cannot restore details that were already missing from the original image.

  Signature Has Too Much White Space

  Large blank margins can make the image unnecessarily large. Crop the signature before adjusting the final file size.

  Dimensions Do Not Match

  If the CGL application specifies particular dimensions, enter those values in the custom width and height controls before downloading.

  Live Photo Is Not Accepted

  If the live photograph does not meet the application's instructions, retake it using the recommended lighting, background, camera position, and facial framing.

CGL Application Checklist

Before submitting your SSC CGL application, check:

• Your live photo follows the instructions shown in the application.
• Your signature is complete and clearly visible.
• Your signature is saved in the required format.
• The signature file size is within the specified range.
• The signature dimensions match the current requirement.
• You have previewed the final signature before uploading it.
• You have checked the latest CGL notification for any updated requirements.

CGL requirements can specify both file size and image dimensions. A fixed preset may not always match the exact requirement shown in the application.

With custom controls, you can enter the required width and height and adjust the file size according to the current CGL instructions.
