SSC Selection Post Live Photo: What Applicants Need to Know

The current Selection Post application process does not require you to prepare an old passport-size photograph for upload.

Instead, the application module captures your photograph while you are completing the form.

When the live-photo step appears:

• Choose a place with good lighting.
• Use a plain background.
• Keep the camera at eye level.
• Position yourself directly in front of the camera.
• Look straight ahead.
• Keep your complete face inside the area shown by the application.
• Do not wear a cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles during capture.
• Make sure the captured photograph is clear and properly framed.

Do not capture a photograph of an existing photograph. If the captured image does not meet the instructions shown in the application, capture it again before continuing.
